The raw materials of Blue Sky Lab "Home away from home" concept furniture series are airbag fabric, metal and leather residues from the automobile production and recycled materials from Karuun®. The series includes functional and aesthetic tea tables and chairs made from BASF Haptex® and seat belt materials, as well as lamps with storage and lighting functions made from airbags and Karuun® renewable rattan. The appearance of the series follows NIO design approach of integrating care, innovation, and aesthetics to create a gentle and comfortable home environment and promote a joyful and sustainable lifestyle. The design represents sustainable consumption and collaborative recycling initiatives as part of a holistic and consistent design concept, aiming to call for consumers to understand the impact of surplus materials on our shared environment and show them how to use these surplus materials creatively.
