国风艺术馆空间标识

This is a signage and wayfinding system for China Guofeng Art Museum. Inspired by Chinese writings and calligraphy, the designers created intelligible graphics and characters for aesthetic expression and information transmission. Meanwhile, the spirit and connotation of the museum get highlighted, conveyed and cemented. Besides, the “red line” element throughout the whole design stands for auspice, wisdom, art connection and inheritance.

The signs are divided into identification, guidance, description and management ones according to their locations and functions. Based on that, the signage design incorporates traditional elements like calligraphy, paper cutting and Chinese knots to create matching forms via different design and expression methods, through which guiding information is clearly conveyed. Also, it adopts traditional Chinese colors to forms sharp contrast with the background while echoing the whole tone of exhibits. These subtle designs create this memorable system, which boosts the cultural atmosphere and conveys the profound connotation of "national style and trend" - delicacy, elegance, and "less is more", further boosting the antique aura of the Guofeng Art Museum.
